Taranaki Animal Protection Trust

Attention animal lovers. Largely an unseen service for the community, the Taranaki Animal Protection Trust provide a 24/7 service looking after animals in need of tender, love, and care. Most of the rescued animals are domestic cats which have been mis-treated. The trust is run on voluntary labour and is currently caring for around 40 cats.
The trust estimated costs for the care of the cats could be around $1000 per month, however due to generous community support this has been lowered. The donation from Waterworks goes toward providing food and veterinary services for these animals.
Waterworks are honoured to be able to support such a worthy cause as part of our mission of giving back to the community in our ‘Community Support 2018’ initiative.
