EMEX 2016 A Huge Success

3rd Jun 2015

Waterworks is pleased to report EMEX 2016 was a huge success. The show, New Zealand's largest trade show for the engineering and electronics industry, drew record numbers of visitors and included over 150 both international and national exhibitors. EMEX was held at the Auckland ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane from the 31st of May to the 2nd of June.

Once again, Europress, the stainless steel and carbon steel press fit pipe system was a huge drawcard amongst visitors, who flocked to see how they can save time and money on their pipeline installations. Not only this but many were excited by the unbelievable ease of use benefits. Installers learnt that they could not only significantly save time on their installation but the huge reduction in OH&S paperwork and hot work permits was a further time and cost saving for them. Furthermore for engineers/installers working in factories, maintenance work can be done significantly quicker. With Europress installers don't have to completely drain the pipeline before they make a join, they can press a fitting into the pipeline wet or dry allowing them to reduce plant downtime by up to 50%. One visitor commented that he priced a project in their plant using welded stainless and it came out at $15,000, when priced in Europress the project came out at $4500.

The Europress display included an impressive pipework feature which had water circulating through the pipework dropping back into a holding tank, showing Europress installed and in action.

Along with Europress, Waterworks also formally launched the new Spears Sch. 80 PVC and CPVC pipe system to New Zealand. This also proved very popular with EMEX visitors, who sighted the high standard of USA quality and reliability as a big benefit to them. Spears has been manufactured in the USA since 1969 and are now a world leader in producing high quality products.

The Spears display also included an innovative pipework display which was crafted into the shaped of the Spears logo. Made from 3" PVC and CPVC pipework this feature was a certain eye-catcher for passing viewers. benefit to them.
