Europress 304 Piping System
The Europress 304 Stainless Steel Press-Fit range is an ideal solution for installations which don’t require the capabilities of 316 Stainless Steel, such as heating and cooling systems, compressed air, oil and lubricant systems, fire sprinklers, and general water reticulation.
The Europress 304 system offers a lower-cost alternative to the 316L option allowing you to achieve further installation and project savings.
The Europress 304 Stainless Steel fittings can be easily identified by their orange press check indicator sleeve distinguishing them from the blue 316L stainless steel, red Carbon Steel, and yellow gas Europress fittings.
What is the difference bettween AISI 316L and 304?
The primary distinction between AISI 316L and AISI 304 stainless steel is the inclusion of molybdenum in 316L. This element improves its resistance to specific types of corrosion, particularly in environments such as marine or when exposed to low levels chlorides. However, not every environment where supply systems are installed is highly corrosive and requires AISI 316L steel. Therefore, in lower corrosive environments AISI 304 stainless steel is a good option.
