4N Tapping Bands
What are 4N Tapping Bands?
Used in agricultural, municipal & civil, and horticultural industries, these tapping bands designed and manufactured in Australia, are renowned for their high quality and ease of use. There are three different tapping bands available. Each one is color-coded for easy identification. The white tapping bands are for series 1 white PVC, Blue is used for series 2 PVC pipe, and black is suited to Metric OD Polyethylene pipe. They are all manufactured from high-grade engineered, glass-reinforced nylon resin and have 316 stainless steel bolts with molybdenum coating. The reinforcing ring is made from 316 Stainless steel and they have an elastomeric EPDM rubber seal. The tapping bands have anti-rotation lugs molded into the band which prevents slipping and turning on the pipe. This range has been approved by a majority of councils throughout New Zealand for use on council water mains, is certified by Watermark, manufactures AS/NZS 4793, and has been appraised by WSAA.
